Complimentary Postcard to be Provided with Tours in May, as We Aim to bring back the postcard.
This May we are running a special offer where we will be providing a complimentary postcard to all clients who take a tour with us from 10th-31st May.
National Postcard Week is taking place through May 6th-May 12th and in celebration of this week, we are launching our campaign to #BringBackThePostcard.
Our new campaign comes after we conducted a survey into modern travellers’ postcard habits. We polled over 1000 respondents and found that almost half of holidaymakers never send a postcard while on vacation.
Of course if less people are sending postcards this also means less people are receiving postcards, and our survey found that over a third of respondents haven’t received a postcard within the past 5 years. Even more shocking, we found that a quarter of 18-29 year olds have never received a postcard.
The overwhelming reason given for the decline in postcards, is that holidaymakers use social media to stay in touch.
Yet, while the sending and receiving of postcards appears to be in decline, our survey also found that the enthusiasm for receiving postcards is still rife, with 63% of our respondents saying they would like to receive postcards more often.
Interestingly the younger generation of 18-44 year olds expressed the greatest interest in receiving more postcards.
In light of these findings, we decided to launch our special offer, providing our clients with a complimentary postcard when they take a tour with us in May.
We have teamed up with talented and published Italian illustrator Martina Motzo to design our exclusive postcards. Martina created Roma Experience’s postcard design in Indian ink and watercolor, and the postcards have been printed on special Italian Tintoretto Gesso paper, that which makes them wonderful collectable items.
In our postcards, we have captured all of the joy which the wonderful city of Rome has to offer, as we believe this is the message of Rome that all travelers should wish to share with their friends and family.
We hope that our complimentary postcards will kick-start a revolution to #BringBackThePostcard and we are very excited to provide our clients with our beautiful postcards, making it easy for them to share their handwritten tales of Rome with their loved ones.
To claim your free postcard all you have to do is book a tour with us, to be taken between 10th-31st May 2018 and you will be provided with your postcard at the start of your tour.
Only those customers who take a tour with us between 10th-31st May 2018 will be provided with a complimentary postcard.
